1973 LANCIA BERLINA

Here’s an interesting car! It’s a 1973 Lancia 2000 Berlina, the last model that Lancia designed before being taken over by Fiat, so it’s regarded by some enthusiasts as the last ‘true’ Lancia. It would have been an advanced car back in its day, with a Bosch fuel-injected 2-litre flat four engine driving the front wheels through a five-speed dogleg gearbox, all-round independent suspension and servo-assisted disc brakes. Serious Italian engineering!

This astonishingly original and well-kept example was imported to the UK from Germany in 2022 and has covered just 19,700 miles from new, with a well-documented service history. It’s unlikely there’s another in existence with such a low mileage.

The interior is beautifully preserved and is quite luxurious, with a finely honed wooden dashboard, plushly upholstered blue velour seats and even curtains for the rear windows. It’s a lovely place to be! It would have been an expensive car when new and aimed at wealthy professionals who appreciated the fine things in life.

The flat-four engine sounds simply wonderful and, with its low centre of gravity, the car is surprisingly nippy and fun to drive. We shall give the car an inspection and service before sale to ensure it’s ready for the new owner. Please note that we are selling the car privately on behalf of the last owner, so it does not come with a warranty.
