Finished in a beautiful Frost Ice Green Silver, the car is complemented by a Cream leather interior, Green carpets, and a matching Green roof.

The car is built on a shortened 1964 (A-prefix) Volkswagen chassis and is powered by a superb VW 1.8cc air-cooled engine with twin carburettors.

This early factory Chesil was completed in the early 1990s and remained with its first owner until 2021. It has clearly been cherished throughout its life, featuring in numerous car shows and competitions. The car is accompanied by an impressive three-inch-thick history file containing invoices from new.

Every MoT certificate from new is present, supporting an exceptionally low mileage of just 27,889 miles — averaging fewer than 900 miles per year. The vehicle is correctly registered as a VW Chesil Speedster and, having been built prior to SVA or IVA regulations, enjoys the benefits of early construction.
