EXTERIOR

The timeless Arctic Silver paintwork looks great with only some minor imperfections to note on very close inspection. The car is overall very sharp with an excellent depth of shine to the body, no scuffs or scrapes, and original glass throughout. The electric ‘Targa’ sunroof panels operate perfectly, and the exterior of the car is lifted further with attractive 17-inch split rims. All four wheels are free from kerb marking and they’re shod in quality Pirelli PZero tyres all round. The black brake calipers are also in fine order with no damage to the lacquer, and the rear flanks of the car are well protected with undamaged clear stone chip foils.

INTERIOR

The black leather seats present in remarkably good original condition with minimal wear, even to commonly scuffed areas such as the driver’s bolster. The upholstery remains feeling soft to the touch and the complementing black carpets are also in great shape with genuine Porsche mats in the footwells. The Tiptronic gear selector is immaculately presented, the steering wheel is excellent, and the rear seats look like they have never been sat in. All the switchgear still feels reassuringly solid to operate with important features such as the air conditioning, electric glass sunroof, and retractable sunblind all functioning correctly. The under-bonnet carpet is also first-rate, and a high-quality indoor car cover is included.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The engine bay is in excellent condition with no damage or signs of previous poor repair. Boasting an impressive 285ps, the 3.6-litre flat six fires up first turn of the key and idles smoothly up to temperature. Being a later 993 this one is equipped with Porsche’s Varioram induction system giving vastly improved low to mid-range torque over pre-1996 examples. Despite the low mileage, the car has been very well maintained since new. The first 6 services were all carried out by the supplying dealer and since then it has been maintained by a handful of respected marque specialists, and also by official Porsche centres. In recent years the 911 has been part of a small private collection with maintenance carried out by an in-house technician. Since arriving at 4 Star, the vehicle has been checked over by our trusted classic car workshop who were pleased to report a very tidy underside. For additional peace of mind, a fresh service and MOT will be carried out upon sale.

HISTORY FILE

First registered in October 1997, this very smart 993 was supplied new by Five Oaks Garage – the official Porsche Centre for the Channel Islands. Boasting a comprehensive Porsche/specialist service record fully stamped in the original maintenance booklet, the car was acquired by the current owner in 2018, and since then it has been looked after by his trusted independent mechanic. The accompanying history folder is complete with the original Porsche leather document pouch, all owners’ manuals, the original maintenance book with 18 service stamps (the remaining services are invoiced), old MOT certificates, a spare key, and the current V5C showing only 3 former keepers.
