2005 RENAULT CLIO

This 2005 Clio Renaultsport V6 255 is a crazy car! Finished in rare Black Gold, it looks really striking with its bulging wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear roof spoiler and huge side intakes.

The mid-mounted V6 engine replaces the rear seats and luggage compartment. The 3.0-litre unit produces a heady 252bhp and 300Nm of torque, which equates to a 0-60mph time of six seconds and a top speed in excess of 150mph. It's huge fun to drive.

The cockpit is finished in black leather and Alcantara, with Recaro sports seats, plus alloy gear knob and pedals. There's a body-coloured centre console with a numbered Renaultsport Clio V6 plaque; this is number 332. In the front, is a small luggage compartment.

This is what is known as a Phase 2 Clio V6. The original Phase 1 cars were built from 2001 to 2003 and had an output of 227bhp. The Phase 2 cars were uprated to 252bhp and were made from 2003 to 2005, so this is one of the last. A total of just 1309 Phase 2 cars were built and it is believed that there were only 74 UK examples finished in Black Gold, which is metallic black with a very subtle gold fleck.

This Clio Renaultsport V6 has a well documented history. In 2016, at 31,037 miles, it had some £7700 of work undertaken by GantSpeed Engineering. This included renovating the suspension system, fitting new front brake discs and pads, new windscreen, underseal, and much more. In 2021 it had a major service with a new cambelt and water pump. In 2025 at 35,113 miles the car received a major service from Hendy Renault, including oil, filters, spark plugs, and brake fluid. The Michelin tyres are near-new all round.

The car comes with its original leather wallet containing all the handbooks. Plus there is the original paperwork from when the car was new, an original sales brochure and a book of road test. There are also all the old MoT certificates. The car comes with the cherished registration 'V6 AOE'.

The bodywork and windscreen are fully protected by self-healing PPF.
