The 1499 GT is based on the entry-level MINI One but incorporates numerous sporty aesthetic and mechanical enhancements from the John Cooper Works (JCW) line.

Engine: It is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder Twin Power Turbo petrol engine that produces 101 bhp and 140 lb ft of torque.
Performance: The car has a 0-62 mph time of approximately 10.1 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph.
Transmission: It features a six-speed manual gearbox with rev-matching technology.
Suspension: The 1499 GT is fitted with sport suspension as standard, which offers enhanced handling and a distinct "go-kart" feel, though the ride is notably firm.
Exterior Styling: It comes with a full John Cooper Works Sport Pack, which includes 17-inch "Track Spoke" black alloy wheels, a JCW body kit (front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wing), dark-tinted windows, and unique "1499 GT" side decals. It was available in only two colours: Midnight Black with gold stripes or Pepper White with black stripes.
Interior Features: The cabin receives JCW part-leather sports seats, a JCW leather steering wheel with red stitching, piano black interior trim, and JCW door entry plates. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, and smartphone compatibility (Apple CarPlay) with a 6.5-inch central infotainment screen.
