1984 Ferrari

Completed by Ferrari on 28 July 1984, this rare UK-supplied 400i Automatic is one of just 281 imported, with only around 70 remaining—and only six in Argento Metallizzato. Delivered new to Maranello Concessionaires, it was built for and displayed at the 1984 NEC Motor Show alongside the debuting 288 GTO and Testarossa.

Finished in Argento Metallizzato 101/C with Rosso leather, the car has had just four owners from new. It has been maintained since 1990 by renowned Ferrari specialists Grimaldi, including a stainless-steel exhaust (2014) and a major service in 2024. The car retains its original service book, handbooks, wallet, and a selection of invoices and MOTs.

A fresh major service has just been completed, including valve clearances, fluids and filters, new plugs, new Michelin TRX tyres on refurbished wheels, laser wheel alignment, compression check, and air-con service.

As a late-model car, it features the revised cams and manifolds (+5 bhp), self-levelling rear suspension, and the improved soft-grain leather interior.

A rare colour, Motor Show provenance, strong history, and freshly serviced—an excellent example of the 400i.
