Description

Rare opertunity to own a future Jdm classic in a 2025 year the last car sold in the uk was in 2023 this is a new car with delvery miles only this is a Jdm spec car with the performance pack with the factory fitted TRD body kit and the beautiful red anniversary red interior which wasnt available in UK or EU cars.
For 2025, the Toyota GR86 Performance Package remains a high-value option for enthusiasts who want track-ready hardware straight from the factory. While the core 2.4L boxer engine stays the same, the package focuses on "stopping and turning" rather than raw horsepower.
📦 What’s in the Box?
The 2025 Performance Package (often referred to as the "PP") focuses on two major mechanical upgrades:
Brembo® Brakes: Upgraded 4-piston front and 2-piston rear calipers (finished in red) with larger rotors for significantly better heat management and stopping power.
SACHS® Performance Dampers: Retuned shock absorbers designed to reduce body roll and provide a more "buttoned-down" feel during aggressive cornering.
Wheel Upgrade: If added to the Base trim, it includes 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels (standard on Premium).
🏎️ 2025 Model Enhancements
Beyond the optional package, Toyota made several "under-the-skin" tweaks for the 2025 model year that affect all trims:
Throttle Mapping: Reworked for more linear response, making it easier to "blip" the throttle for heel-toe downshifts.
Electric Power Steering (EPS): Retuned for improved feedback and a more direct connection to the front wheels.
Shock Absorber Tuning: The standard dampers were slightly refined to improve handling balance.
Availability: While it can be added to both Base and Premium trims, units equipped with the package are often rarer on dealer lots.

Is it worth it? If you plan on doing track days or spirited canyon runs, the Brembos alone are worth the entry price—aftermarket "Big Brake Kits" (BBK) typically cost twice as much and don't come with a factory warranty.
he rarity of the Toyota GR86 in the UK isn't just due to "hype"—it’s actually the result of a "perfect storm" of safety legislation, production costs, and high demand.
The car is essentially a "limited edition" by accident. Here are the three main reasons why you rarely see them:
1. The "GSR2" Death Knell
The biggest factor is a piece of legislation called General Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2). Even though the UK has left the EU, Toyota builds the GR86 to European specifications for this region.
The Issue: GSR2 mandates that all new cars sold after July 2024 must have specific safety tech, such as advanced emergency braking and "black box" data recorders.
The Conflict: The GR86 was built on an older chassis architecture. To fit the required cameras and sensors for GSR2, Toyota would have had to physically change the roofline and the car's structural "hard points."
The Result: Toyota decided it was economically impossible to re-engineer the car for such a small market. Consequently, the car was discontinued for the UK and European markets in July 2024.
2. The 90-Minute Sell-Out
Because Toyota knew the car had a short shelf life, they only allocated a specific number of units to the UK (estimated at around 2,500 total).
When the first batch went live in April 2022, the entire UK allocation sold out in just 90 minutes.
A final "second chance" allocation was released via a lottery system in 2023, but because the supply was strictly capped by the July 2024 deadline, they could not produce more to meet the ongoing demand.
3. Current Market Status (January 2026)
Since production for the UK has completely stopped, the only way to get one now is the used market.
Collectability: Enthusiasts are holding onto them because there is no direct successor that offers the same "raw" experience without being significantly more expensive or hybridized.
Summary Table
Factor Impact
UK Allocation Extremely low (approx. 2,500 units total).
Legislation GSR2 safety rules made it illegal to sell "new" after July 2024.
Engineering The car's older roof/chassis design couldn't fit new safety sensors.
Market Status Sold out instantly; now a "modern classic" on the used market.
