1955 MG

motodrome offer for sale this utterly charming 1955 MG TF 1500, finished in red with light tan leather interior and weather equipment.

Uprated for modern use with 5-speed gearbox and front disc brakes.

Further fitted with wire wheels with a matching set of decent tyres.

The last of the MG T-series line, before the introduction of the MGA, this one, like most, was originally exported to the USA. Repatriated around 2008 and needing an extensive marque specialist restoration, it went to The Hudson Motor Company including a conversion to RHD, new body tub and attendant steel panels, overhaul of the engine, suspension and brakes, the 5-speed gearbox installation, an interior retrim, and all new weather equipment.

A rebuilt, uprated XPEG TF 1500 engine was fitted in 2019, including uprated pistons, large capacity sump, diaphragm clutch, mild road cam, 4 branch manifold, and alternator.

Odometer reading 4000 miles, which we think is it’s mileage since restoration, and it comes with a huge file of history including bills and restoration photos,

Drives exactly as it should, with great performance and real 1950’s charm, but with greater useability due to the 5 speed box and front discs. .

In our opinion, it’s in superb condition overall, uncluding the underside.
