2008 LOTUS EXIGE

Lotus Exige S2 S Club Racer.

Lotus produced 25 RHD Club Racer limited editions in 2007, mine is the last one built, number 25 and was registered in January 2008.

It is not exactly known how many of the 25 RHD versions remain, a few were exported to other RHD counties such as Japan and Australia and its possible some may have succumbed to accident damage and subsequently written off so its safe to say a Club Racer is a rare Exige.

I have owned this car for approaching 6 years and am the third owner, its current mileage is 34,520 but this will go up as I still use the car from time to time but only when it’s dry. I was informed by the first owner that he upgraded the car from the 220BHP to 240BHP but I don't have any paperwork to validate his claim, certainly the car feels lively and I've never felt like it needed any more power to et me into trouble.

During my ownership I have completed the following jobs on it.

Full suspension refresh including, all wishbones blasted and powder coated, fitted with new ball joints and poly bushed.

All uprights blasted and repainted, fitted with new wheel bearings.

Spitifire rear toe links and Spitfire front adjustable steering arms.

Gaz coilovers all round being the shortened body versions as used in the race series.

Seriously Lotus belled discs all round which are handed to have internal cooling veins in correct flow. Braided hoses all round.

Pagid RS4-2 pads, poly bushed ARB, various brackets around the car blasted and repainted, all new nuts and bolts etc, as far as the suspension is concerned there is nothing that needs doing.

New alloy rad, rad fans (top fitted)

New AC condenser, trinary switch, receiver/drier, expansion valve, rad control module, condenser to bulkhead pipe, condenser to receiver/drier pipe, new o-rings etc etc, AC now works like a treat.

Recently serviced with Motul 8100 power oil, Motul RBF660 brake fluid, Motul coolant, Redline MT90 TRD air filter etc.

The inter was retrimmed with full carpet and alcantara material covering the complete dash, side air vents and sill covers in grey, new headlining in black, plastice panel behind seats also trimmed.

There is probably a lot more that has been done over the years that I've simply forgot, certainly during my ownership a lot of love, time, effort and money has into this wonderful little car, it is however not without a couple of stone chips here and there, it’s not a garage queen in my opinion but when I’ve attended the odd show or get together it has drawn comments on its condition and presentation. I’ve certain tried to keep it the best I can.

All in all a lot of time and effort has gone into the car and I dont believe it wants for anything else.

This Exige has been my absolute pride and joy and to be honest, I'm not in any rush to let her go but I fancy an Esprit and all the headaches that come with them.

I would say viewing is essential to make your own mind up but any test drives will be performed by myself unless you can prove you have insurance.
