Retaining all the familiar style and appeal of the MGB, but enhanced by the effortless performance of a smooth straight-six.

When the MG MGC was launched in 1967, it was widely seen as the next logical step on from the much-loved MGB. Powered by the twin SU-carburettor C-Series 2912cc straight-six producing around 145bhp, it was intended as a credible successor to the Austin-Healey 3000. Visually, the MGC closely resembles the MGB, save for the distinctive power bulge in the aluminium bonnet and its larger wheels. Beneath the surface, however, the car benefitted from a stronger structure, uprated brakes and revised running gear to manage the increased performance.

The engine itself is a proven and capable unit, offering strong performance while remaining reasonably economical for a car of its era. The MGC sat at the top of MG’s range until production ended in 1969. With only around 9,000 examples built — approximately half of which were exported to the United States — it remains one of the rarer MG variants on UK roads today. Over time, the MGC has earned a loyal following, appreciated for its smooth power delivery, long-distance cruising ability and relaxed driving manners, as well as its period motorsport pedigree.

This attractive 1968 MG MGC Roadster is finished in classic 'British Racing Green' with a black leather interior. It has been in the same ownership since 2017 and is accompanied by a collection of invoices and records detailing previous maintenance and parts fitted - it also has a very keen reserve set.
