1990 MERCEDES-BENZ 500

This is a lovely example of the R129 Mercedes Benz 500SL. This car is a 1990 with a modest 132,000 miles (don't forget it's 36 years old) and in great condition for its age with just a few age related marks/scuffs on the paintwork and the interior in excellent condition. Finished in Nautic Blue with Beige leather.

Everything works as it should including the all important folding soft top roof. The plastic windows in the roof do have splits in two out of the three (this is quite common), and I was quoted £200 to have these replaced by my local trimmer. I didn't bother however as most of the time I use it the roof is down or the hard top is on. The 5.0 V8 runs perfectly. and still pulls like a train, and the gear changes are all smooth.

The body is rust free, and underneath is clean with only the usual light surface corrosion that you would expect from any classic car of this age that has lived in the UK. It is all structurally sound.

The car is recently MOTed and serviced, as well as have had the differential serviced. All four wheels are in mint condition, with good Michelin tyres all round. Comes with a comprehensive history file documenting all of the maintenance it's had over the years, as well as the original book pack. Also includes the wind deflector. Owned for just under three years, but needing to make space in the garage unfortunately.
