2007 RENAULT MEGANE

2007 RenaultSport Megane 175 DCi, 175bhp 2.0 Dci with 6 speed manual gearbox. MOT until October 2026. 252,000 miles (may go up as still in use).

This is the diesel version of the R26 Renaultsport Megane, includes the excellent swivel hub front suspension, 4 pot brembos and all the other Renaultsport goodies. Lux pack includes keyless entry and keyless start, leather seats (still in good condition with some wear on bolsters, but not bad at all), climate control (ac needs a 'top up'), auto lights, auto wiper, cruise control, Cabasse Radio CD player (from Clio), 18" alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round, panoramic roof.

I've owned the car for 13 years since 98k miles, now on 252k miles. Interior looks good for the age, on the exterior there's a few scuffs on most corners that I've touched up to look better at a distance, but still visible close up. Never been in a serious crash. Solid for rust, and I'll happily jack it up for a look underneath and happy to plug laptop in to check for codes etc. Engine has some miles on, but running well with no smoke or leaks. No knocks or rattles from motor or suspension and is a joy to drive.

I've recently replace both front wheel bearings (one before MOT, one after), drop links and anti-rotation links both sides, the steering rack internal bushing and inner and outer tie rods on passenger side, exhaust flexi joint.

I refreshed the suspension for genuine Renault Cup shocks and Eibach springs - although that's a while ago now at probably 100k miles. Gearbox replaced a couple of years ago for a low milage second had box. Oil changed ever 12,000 miles with genuine Nissan 3w30. I've done all the work myself and kept a handful of receipts, but the mechanical condition should speak for itself once you take it for a test drive. Includes V5c in my name and all original owners manuals etc. I can provide a pdf copy of the workshop manual too.

We brought the car back to the UK from Northern Ireland 13 years ago, but it was originally a UK car - you can revert to the original 57 plate if you want, but I've never bothered. It's been a joy to own and still enjoy driving it with the benefit of diesel economy. The Nissan M9R engine with balance shafts is smooth as far as 4 pot diesels go and readily revs to the 5,000 rpm red line. I've not had any problems with the motor itself, but have changed gearbox, turbo, egr, throttle etc and everything is working well now (but do expect some maintenance for a 18 year old car!). Includes genuine Renault roof bars. Only selling as I have too many cars, my wife has discovered the joy auto gearboxes now and I need to free up some room (not interested in part exchange).
