VW Golf MK7 R – 420bhp Stage 2

I’m selling my MK7 Golf R, owned for the last four years and genuinely one of the most reliable cars I’ve had. It’s currently running a VUDU Stage 2 map producing around 420bhp, and it’s never missed a beat in my ownership. The car drives exactly as it should — smooth, tight, and seriously quick.

Maintenance & Mechanical Work

I’ve stayed on top of everything, with servicing carried out every 6 months (oil, plugs, filters). Major known MK7R issues have already been sorted:

Water pump & thermostat housing replaced (Aug 2025) – £1,000 job, common failure point

Turbo replaced when I purchased the car

MOT passed in December with zero advisories

Mechanically it’s spot‑on and wants for nothing.

Overall Condition

It’s been a fantastic car throughout my ownership — fast, reliable, and properly maintained. Only selling as I’m moving on to something different.
