2002 LOTUS ELISE

For sale is my cherished Lotus Elise S2 111 K-series with Long tail roof. The car is an early S2 built late 2001 and first registered in Cyprus by Mototrend in 2002. It was purchased by a female RAF officer and had 11 services carried out out (all stamped in the service book with invoices / history a the supplying main dealer. It was then sold to another RAF officer who imported the car back to the UK in 2016 with 79953km (49,680 miles) on the clock.

The car was then purchased in August 2018 by Purbeck Sports Cars in Poole from the customer with the suspected failed head gasket. I first saw the car in Purbecks garage while my Evora was with them for servicing later that year. We talked extensively on the car – at the time it had both clam shells off and the garage owner delighted in showing the superb condition that the car was in. The dry heat of Cyprus meant zero corrosion anywhere and he was undertaking a slow and methodical overhaul to make the car truly tip-top. An upgraded head gasket was fitted along with a remote thermostat fitted and an aluminum radiator.

other updates include stainless steel braided brake hose kit, an Elise parts gear linkage kit, Clutch brace and improved throttle assembly. The total work carried out is fully documented.

Fast forward to May 2020 and my Evora had been sold a few months prior, hankering as I was for another Lotus, I enquired if the car was still with them and for-sale – it was! A deal was quickly made and I acquired the car! Being a Lotus enthusiast I’ve spared no expense in maintaining the car and looking after it. It’s been in such good condition that I’ve focused on improvements which include:

Nitron Street Series II dampers (these are 1-way adjustable and which I have setup for road usage)

Titan quick rack

Reduced bump steer kit

Cold air intake

Sports cat

Quick Silver sports exhaust

In 2022 I retrimmed some of the interior as the alcantara was looking a little forlorn.

This Elise really is in superb condition and has been nothing but reliable during my six years of ownership. It is absolute joy to drive and very journey in it is just enjoyable! The Arctic Silver paintwork still gleams in the sunlight and really shows off the S2 timeless shape of the S2. Its also been ceramic coated, cleaned regularly and lives in an air-chamber when not in use.

It has comprehensive service history and is fully documented from my ownership.
