2001 BMW 530

BMW 530i Sport (E39) – 2001 – 128k

Proper old-school 3 litre straight-six BMW. 128k miles. MOT until end of March. Good service history from BMW specialist. I've owned it and loved it since 2005.

Recent work:

✔ Radiator

✔ Tyres

✔ Brakes

Strong, smooth straight-six. Drives very well in all forward gears — gearbox changes smoothly. Reverse gear not working.

Being upfront:

– No reverse gear (moves backwards when in reverse, but only slowly)

– Engine management light on amber (diagnosed as sensor issue 2 yrs ago, drives fine)

– Some bumper/spoiler damage

– Wing mirror cover missing on passenger side.

– Two small rust holes under boot

It’s 25 years old — not a showroom car, but a very solid project for someone who knows what they’re buying.

No modifications (besides hifi head unit replacement). No remaps. No nonsense.

Becoming harder to find clean, unmolested E39 Sports.

No swaps. I'm in no rush to sell.
