Background

Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera 4 GTS began in 2011, it featured an X51 Powerkit Equipped Direct Fuel Injection DFI 3.8 Litre Flat-6, Sport Design Aerokit GTS front bumper with larger air intakes, GTS Side Skirts & GTS Rear Bumper. The interior as standard came without Extended Leather, but it was available as an option, alongside an Alcantara/Leather GTS interior. The rear seats were omitted as standard, but could be specified as a no cost option. The 19-inch RS Spyder Wheels were mounted on centre locking hubs, reducing rotational masses, further enhancing the handling & performance of the 911 997.2 GTS.

Exterior

Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe looks stunning in Platinum Silver Metallic, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red strip reflector on the rear of the wider bodyshell. All Carrera GTS models came in the 4.4cm wider bodyshell. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS has been machine polished & waxed by us, which will help protect the paintwork & repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front & rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine & boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior

The Hardback Sport Seats come with Height Adjustment, Electric Backs & optional Porsche Crest Embossed Headrests. The seats also have the optional 2-stage heating system, perfect for keeping you warm in the winter months. There are no major marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the optional extended Black Leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission

Our 911 Carrera 4 GTS comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat-six Direct Fuel Injection DFI engine that produces 402 bhp & propels the all-wheel drive sportscar to 60mph in under 4.1 seconds & on to a 188mph top speed. The increase in performance over the Carrera 4S is due to the X51 Powerkit, which is made up of a Larger Metal Engine Intake System, Revised Cylinder Heads & a different Engine ECU Map. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability & superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

Our 911 Carrera 4 GTS is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road. It is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT & SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer & blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C4 GTS.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS and LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Carrera 4 GTS to respond & accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration & the headline 0-60mph time by 0.4 seconds to just 4.1 seconds.

Another addition is the exceptional Porsche Switchable Sports Exhaust PSE which significantly improves the sound of the 911 on any journey, without being too loud or intrusive.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes

Our 911 Carrera 4 GTS comes fitted with the GTS 19-inch RS-Spyder Lightweight Alloy Wheels, finished in Satin Platinum Silver. They are unmarked, having been fully refurbished by us. The brakes are phenomenal, with factory Guards Red callipers & PORSCHE lettering in white, cross drilled & vented discs front & rear with plenty of life left in them. The tyres are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Porsche N1 high performance tyres with plenty of tread all round.
