1999 SUBARU IMPREZA

This is one of the final and most sought after editions of the world dominant WRC Impreza STi GC8.

The final version 6 benefited from all the success that went before it and incredbly received further improvements over the previous near perfect V5. These improvements included revisions to the engine internals and ECU to improve mid range response and power delivery, uprated stronger gearbox and clutch, revised suspension and springs to improve steering and chassis balance. Some external styling differences and passenger airbag completed the change. This made the V6 the most refined and strongest of all the excellent classic GC8 STI editions.

Arriving in a good condition but with faded paint to some panels the car clearly had been stood for some time, which we were advised of. It was calling for a good recommision and became a test model for our enthusiastic junior Fairmont team who were given the car with the premiss to do their stuff regardless of budget and time. That, they truly did.

It was lovingly stripped down both mechanically and the underside, as they went through the car replacing or reconditioning items that they felt would benefit this car both cosmetically and mechanically.

The result was mechanical and refurbish works costing an impressive £5,000.

Additionally, Fairmont bodyshop carried out a superb full repaint, totalling £4,000, so she shines like new.

This car drives well, and should need very little maintenance for many years to come. Finished in pure white and with the correct gold Subaru wheels, this Version 6 is an eyeful. The Japanese service book with some history and handbooks are supplied with the car. Imported in 2022, this has only 2 UK owners.

In 2026 this Impreza was fitted with a new cambelt, uprated (RCM) pulleys and water pump, supplied by brand specialists Roger Clark Motorsport.

Additionally, this Impreza has had a full service, an MOT till 2027 and a 6-month Autoguard national warranty will be included.

Note - We have sold the 6000 mile example we had to the previous owner of this car as he loved it and wanted one that was 'out the box' before it was too late. Due to being low miles its price tag was nearly twice the cost of this car. We do have a one year only colour Cashmere Yelow with only 20,000 miles which is like it left the factory. You dont see yellow as only a handful were sold which makes it extremely desirable in Japan and the US. You must have big pockets to buy such a unique car and we have one that will be available - price, upwards of £40,000 !
