Being an early car it is equipped with the MMC brakes that reduce weight and brake dust and are sought-after by many collectors. The car also has open headlights and green chassis glue, traits that only early cars had.

The car is entirely standard other than an EliseParts Sports backbox which was fitted in early 2025.

The history file for this Elise is vast. Right the way from the original letter from lotus offering the upcoming car in November 1996 with brochure, original order form from December 1996 including original leather/roof/paint swatches, correspondence from Lotus throughout regarding the process, confirmed order form, original invoice (£22,850), original tax disc holder, original certificate of conformity, right the way through ownership with recall notes, various parts invoices, tax reminders, sorn notifications, service invoices, MOT certificates, basically any paperwork associated to this car has been retained. The first (and very fastidious) owner kept the car right the way from April 1998 until July 2014 when he parted with the car on just 1,968 miles.

The vehicle was acquired by the current owner in February 2025 from Analogue Automotive who initially bought the car to put through their restomod programme but they decided it was simply too good of a base car to do that, so it was sold on as a unmodified vehicle.

The condition of the car is about as good as I think you’ll be able to find - Very original in all regards and has clearly lived a pampered dry storage life, it presents virtually as new top to bottom, interior, exterior and underside included. The car is fitted with Yokohama AD08 tyres which are date stamped 2024 and of course have loads of life left in them. The car comes with the vast history file, 2 keys, book pack/service book, roof bag, original head unit, and is of course HPI clear. Nationwide delivery is available upon request.
