Overview

The impact that the Subaru Impreza WRX has had, not just on rallying but on the motoring world in general, cannot be overstated. The Impreza may have begun its life as a pretty ordinary family compact back in 1992 but its transformation into a bona fide motorsport icon is a tale most people are aware of, whether into cars or not, such is the Impreza's pervasive significance.

But it's not just the model itself that captured the hearts and minds of the car buying public. Those that drove them to such unprecedented levels of success are equally as revered, maybe none more so than the late, great Richard Burns. Such was his importance for Subaru, the company produced the special edition RB5 in the late '90s to celebrate his return to the driver's seat and it's a gesture they would repeat in 2007 with the release of the RB320.

Built to commemorate his memory the Subaru Impreza WRX STi RB320 is a very special car indeed. With just 320 built by motorsport legends Prodrive – who at the time were still running the Subaru World Rally Team – the RB320 is a fitting tribute and remains an incredibly sought after model. Producing 320bhp from its 2.5-litre, flat-four turbocharged engine care of the Prodrive performance pack, the car also featured a bespoke chassis setup with uprated and lowered suspension making for a truly rapid and agile machine.

This particular low mileage example is number 210 of the aforementioned 320 and comes to market in wonderful overall condition. Wholly original aside from the welcome addition of an upgraded audio/satellite navigation system the car benefits from a recent service and is accompanied by a fresh, advisory-free MOT.
