Rarest of the special editions with only 250 examples produced, this exclusive MX-5 Indiana was pre-registered to the supplying dealership with one subsequent private owner and has covered just 4,971 miles from new. Finished in striking Garnet Red Mica metallic, (Code 25F), the beautiful original paintwork reflects the incredible credentials. The factory panels are pin straight and there are no markings or imperfections worthy of mention. All trim sections and bumpers are pristine, and the original Mazda Dealer number plates remain fitted. The black cloth hood is in perfect order with a tight fit and the much-improved original glass rear screen is heated. The exterior chrome pack embellishments look superb and the underside gleams as much as the dazzling Mica metallic topside. The epitome of a modern classic sports car, preserved to the highest order with added special Edition credentials.

INTERIOR

Standard for this Special Edition Indiana was the luxury Beige leather interior with heated sports seats which look fabulous against the Garnet Red exterior. The flawless seats remain in exceptional order and the beautifully crafted Nardi wood steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever look and feel superb with no wear whatsoever. The tailored MX5 carpet mats remain in place and protect the immaculate light carpeting. The interior chrome pack further lifts the already classy interior to separate this car from the usual dull specification. All unused, the jack, wheel brace, toolkit and space saver wheel and the matching beige tonneau are all present in the pristine luggage area. An interior justifiably described as good as new!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

To experience driving a super-low mileage Mazda MX-5 is a true motoring delight and this 1.8i model is no exception having been voted Britains best handling car in 2003 by Autocar magazine. The lightweight 1.8i litre 16v DOHC engine sits in spotlessly clean engine bay which will amaze onlookers. The engine is lively and power flow very smooth with a top speed of 127mph and 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds. The delightful close ratio short throw gearbox provides light and precise gear changes. A pure sports car driving sensation!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

This exceptional Mazda still wears its limited-edition factory 15” alloy wheels which are in superb order with only very faint markings to a couple of spokes, barely worthy of mention. There is no kerbing damage. To uphold collector grade originality, the factory fitted 155/80 R13 Bridgestone Turanza tyres remain fitted and although perfect in appearance and condition, should be replaced if spirited driving is called for! Be sure to retain the original tyres for collector purposes. The car features ABS (anti-lock braking system) with ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the back to install utmost braking confidence.

HISTORY FILE

This breath-taking MX-5 1.8i Indiana was registered new by Main Dealer, Border Cars Mazda on the 30th January 2004. The car was registered to the supplying dealership and after just a few days sold to the one and only private owner, Mrs Harris. Mr and Mrs Harris enjoyed the car in retirement, and it was always garaged. After 22 years of ownership, they offered the car to KGF Classic Cars knowing it would be destined for a good home.

All handbooks, manuals and dealership point of sale literature along with two Mazda keys with code tag and dealer keyring are contained in the leather Mazda wallet. The most recent service using genuine Mazda parts was in March 2026 and a documented cambelt change was carried out at the same time. Also in the history file is a Special Edition Indiana sales booklet.
