SERVICING AND MOT

Extremely comprehensive (beyond full) service history with Litchfield, VGS Performance and a VW-qualified master technician.

Serviced 1k miles ago: engine oil and filter, brake fluid and Haldex fluid.

MOT first-time pass with no advisories in February 2026.

EXTERIOR

Metallic Lapiz Blue.

No dents, dings or scratches and has just been detailed by me.

Full front end respray in February 2025 to remove stone chips.

RIDE AND HANDLING

Nitron NTR1 coilovers and top mounts were fitted at 75k miles by Litchfield.

SuperPro front lower control arms allow adjustable front camber; also a SuperPro rear anti-roll bar.

Whilst a modest 25mm lower than standard, it is more compliant than the original non-DCC suspension whilst having improved handling.

ProTrack One 18-inch alloys in great condition with no kerbing.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres with approximately 4mm remaining on the fronts and 5mm remaining on the rears.

ENGINE

RacingLine Stage 1 hardware and software modifications installed at 45k miles by VGS Performance.

R600 closed (quiet) induction system, high-flow intake hose and turbo inlet elbow, and Stage 1 mapping, supported by a rolling road printout showing 385bhp.

Retaining the standard exhaust, resulting in OEM noise levels and no drone.

TRANSMISSION

Manual gearbox with a Sachs organic clutch fitted at 75k miles; no judder and sensibly weighted.

Mountune billet aluminium short shifter provides improved mechanical feel without being heavy and has a modest 20 per cent reduction in throw.

BRAKES

RacingLine rear discs and pads replaced at 102k miles.

RacingLine front discs and pads replaced at 75k miles.

Great bite from cold and really progressive.

INTERIOR

Leather seats, with the fronts heated.

The steering wheel and gear gaiter have been retrimmed in Alcantara by Royal Steering Wheels.

Alpine X903D infotainment system with Apple CarPlay (a dongle is included to make this wireless) is installed and retains full OEM functionality including service interval monitoring.

REASON FOR SALE

Having owned the car for 8 years, I have recently bought another car for day-to-day. It would be great for the Golf to go to a fellow petrolhead.
