It was perfectly pitched to take on the contemporary Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, both of which also sported retro styling. Widely considered a significant commercial and cultural success, it frequently outsold its Ford and General Motors rivals during its 15-year lifespan, and over in the USA was responsible for revitalising Dodge as a brand. Being the six-speed manual transmission version, it boasts a touch more power and performance than the automatic.
