The 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster was the final-year of these luxury sports cars and featured Jaguar's beautiful 5343cc All-Alloy V12 Engine producing 272 bhp and 304 lbs-ft of torque and it was mated to either a 4-speed Manual Gearbox (as in this car) or a 3-speed Automatic with standard Power Steering, Limited-slip differential and servo-assisted 4-wheel Ventilated Disc Brakes, all designed for smooth, high-speed touring. Performance figures were an impressive 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds for the Manual car and with a Top Speed of 148 mph. There were a total of 7,990 V12 Roadsters produced and over 70% were sold in the USA. Only 1,872 RHD examples were built between 1971 and 1974 with the last V12 Roadster - Chassis No: 1S 2872 being built on 12th June 1974, and this represented the end of an era for the Jaguar E-Type. This car, Chassis No: 1S 2765 and Engine No: 7S15650 is an original RHD UK supplied car with desirable manual gearbox specification and factory Hard Top as well as its standard soft top, and it was built in the Spring of 1974 and was first registered on 1st January 1975 with the number plate GYM 506N. It is a completely original example which has not been the subject of any major refurbishment, and is in exceptional condition throughout and it has only covered an extremely low and genuine 19,027 documented Miles from new! It was purchased by its 3rd owner in August 2003 as an investment and it has spent the last 20 or so years in a secure storage facility and only covered less than 1,000 miles during this time. He put his own personal number plate DIB 504 on the car in 2011, but this will be removed before sale.
