2015 AUDI A1

We have owned this little A1 for 9 years, and it has been a great car.

It is very nippy, agile and useful. Being an S Line it is nicely detailed, quite hard suspension, but you do get good feedback from the road. What you can't beat is the £35 a year road tax. Even the chancellor can't ruin that.

It has a full service history (except during covid when I serviced it). In the early days we went to Audi for servicing, but more recently our local garage (who are more thorough). We have plenty of receipts.

It had the cambelt done at 64025 miles (Oct 2024) and a nice new stop start battery also in October 2024. It had all the tyres replaced by Quickfit and the tread is 5mm on the rears and 3mm on the fronts.

Mechanically it is spot on and has been well maintained. If you've read up on these cars they suffer from a steering wheel clock spring. This has also been replaced on the car. The MOT is valid until 17th September 2026 and it was serviced in September 2025.

Cosmetically it would benefit from the alloys being refreshed which after 9 years have scuffs and chips. The offside wing mirror has a chipped edge (but the indicator is not affected), and there is a small dent in the nearside rear panel from being parked in a supermarket near a Range Rover. These are all pictured. Paintwork is good but not perfect, please remember it is a 2015 car.

The interior is tidy, everything works. It has part leather trim. Electric windows all round, aircon is good.

It has the Audi MMI and a nice sound system. Bluetooth, DAB etc. Sadly too early for Carplay and it doesn't have satnav (but could be upgraded).

There is only one key, we lost the other key a good few years ago.

We are selling because my wife is doing more mileage with work so has bought a long range EV which makes the A1 surplus. I should mention that the A1 is just slightly cheaper to run than the EV.

Looking at the online valuations for this car, we've priced it somewhere in the middle to allow for the cosmetics. It looks to be low mileage for its age compared to others for sale. We are open to sensible offers but we are not desperate to sell and we are still using it so the mileage will rise a bit from the above recorded.
