1987 FORD SIERRA

Here we have the iconic sierra cosworth in arguably the best colour, moonstone blue.

This car had a full bare metal restoration around 3 years ago. The car was dipped, had any panels needed replaced, then given a beautiful paint job.

The car was then put back together using a mx of original and new parts with the major components being powder coated and a full engine rebuild.

Engine:

Full engine rebuild by DP Motorsport

200 block, long studded, 1mm oversized pistons with valve cut outs.

High pressure oil pump, ACL bearings, BD14 inlet camshaft, double valve springs,

WRC head gasket. Green injectors, T34 turbo.

New rear main seal. New clutch

Red silicone hoses, Spec R header tank and oil catch tank.

Bailey dump valve, alloy strut brace.

Stainless steel exhaust

Approx 360 bhp

Running gear:

Gearbox, diff and all mounts powder coated.

New Koni suspension

New brakes all round, new track control arms

New bushes all round

New wheel bearings all round

Alloys are immaculate wrapped in as new toyos

Interior:

Front seats are in excellent condition as are the rears

Door cards are good

Headlining good

New leather gear knob

Retro style DAB / Bluetooth stereo with electric aerial

New Clifford alarm and immobiliser

The car drives really well and pulls strongly. It needs a few last bits, the rev counter doesn’t work nor does the fuel gauge (this needs the wiring to the pump through the boot). It also needs the rear arch interior covers (between the seat and side panel trim).

It has two sets of keys and I have the V5 in my name. The car was unfortunately cat c in 2004 hence price.

To summarise, this is a rock solid car, looks incredible, ready to enjoy and drive. Sensibly priced and a great way to drive and own the icon in the best colour for twenty grand less! I have lots of pictures of the resto and lots of spare parts including lights, interior trim and original stereo & amp which can go with the car for the right price. I am confident the first person to view will buy this car. Happy to take you on a test drive, I will be driving (dry roads permitting)
