2008 BMW 1 SERIES

This is a rare manual N54 twin-turbo 135i, not the later N55. True twin turbos, stronger tuning potential, and the better driver's setup when it's been looked after properly. The usual N54 reliability weak points have already been addressed:

- Water pump & thermostat replaced at ~65k

- Both turbos replaced at ~78k by GCS Engineering (Sussex), a well-known BMW specialist. New OEM Mitsubishi BMW turbos. ~3,000 spent, receipts to show

The biggest different between this and the others I see online is the amount of investment into reliability as well as performance upgrades. This ensures it can actually run the extra power over a long period with no additional stress. This is why I originally bough this specific one to.

I've owned the car for 6-7 years, and during that entire time it has been remarkably reliable. It has never suffered any serious failures or breakdowns and has never been off the road unexpectedly. The only items replaced during ownership have been minor things such as sensors normal wear items that were sorted promptly and never took the car off the road. For an N54 it has genuinely been one of the more dependable cars I've owned.
