1998 LOTUS ELISE

Lotus Elise Series 1 Bell & Colvill Super 140

I am the second owner since 2001. This car was modified by Bell & Colville from new and was a forerunner to the Lotus Sport 135. It was an uprated ECU and a sports exhaust. It's always been regularly serviced. Not all documented but used the same mechanic (well known to any Lotus owners in York area) for the last 15-16 years. Never had an engine rebuild but has had the head gasket changed on a regular basis. Currently has an uprated gasket. Condition is good, it has a few scratches and the usual stone chips. It has some slight clam damage to the nearside front but is not structural and not particularly noticeable. Interior is also in fair condition, again with the usual wear points, door ledges and seat bolsters. I have always used this car all year round. Still drives the same as it did 25 years ago. Recently had new radiator, tow post, horn, headlights. Suspension parts (wishbones etc.) could do with a refurbishment, not reached a point where they need renewing. MOT will be carried out on the car on the 18th May 2026. Car always kept in garage.

It will be sadly missed.
