Description
1984 Talbot Samba Rallye Group A historic rally car last campaigned on French VHC historic stage rallies. Genuine 1219cc LHD Samba Rallye (correct Rallye VIN) very good original strengthened shell, with zero corrosion, complete with all homologation papers, invoices and French competition logbooks.
Roll cage upgraded to current specification and complete mechanical refresh including geometry setup, by Thomas Chavot of TC Sport , Peronne, France in 2018 with very little competition use since, I imported the car into the December 2024 and is registered with DVLA as a Historic vehicle on the V5, I have used it as a fun car for shows and car gathering events only. I have fully rust protected all box sections with Dinotrol.
Specification is lightly modified Rallye specification 1219cc engine making 90bhp at the wheels, period homologated close ratio gearbox with ZF differential (new driveshafts) and period competition final drive ratio, Tarmac specification sump guard. Brakes are non servo with correct specification master cylinder, vented front discs with four pot Willwood calipers (the period correct AP CP2361 closed back calipers are a direct fit if required) rears are as period homologation with non vented discs, aluminium 2 pot calipers, hydraulic handbrake and adjustable pressure limiter.
Suspension is Viarouge VHC competition units, Braid wheels with road legal competition tyres, also spare set of Amil 6” alloys with Michelin TB15 tarmac tyres included. Spotlamps and bespoke wiring harness with relays and fuse panel. Peltor intercom, bespoke dash with VDO instruments etc,
Starts , stops and drives just as a competition developed 700Kg car should.
