1970 Triumph GT6 Mk2 finished in its factory colour of Signal Red and presented today as a superb example of this desirable six cylinder sporting coupe. This is a UK supplied right hand drive car manufactured in November 1970 and originally specified from new with overdrive, a sought after feature that enhances both drivability and touring ability.

The car was discovered in barn stored condition in 1998 and subsequently treated to a comprehensive restoration carried out over an eight year period. The work was completed with the body separated from the chassis, allowing every major component to be addressed in detail. As part of this programme the chassis and bodywork were fully restored while the engine and gearbox were rebuilt. The suspension and braking systems were also renewed, ensuring the car delivers the responsive and engaging driving experience for which the Triumph GT6 is well known.

Further sympathetic upgrades have been incorporated to improve usability and reliability without detracting from the car’s classic character. These include electronic ignition, an oil pressure gauge, spin on oil filter conversion, battery isolator, USB charging sockets and an intermittent wiper function. Together these enhancements make the car easier to live with in modern conditions while retaining the originality and charm expected of a classic British sports car.
