1997 TVR CHIMAERA

A fabulous Chimaera, extensive restoration

This Chimaera 400 is a unique head-turner with thousands spent on a full body off restoration, which was conducted over an 18 month period from 2020-2022 by the previous owner. This is fully documented in the car’s history file.

The work completed included the chassis being stripped and cleaned with new outriggers fitted and then powder coated. The car also received all new Bilstein suspension, a full brake overhaul, new clutch, new diff, new radiator and much more. Everything you can think of has been done to this car!

The wheels were stripped and powder coated by specialists ACC refurbishes in 2023 and the camshaft has been upgraded to TVR 51 Spec by Lloyd Specialist Developments.

Progressive electric power steering provides it when needed and turns off at speed so you can enjoy the raw feel.

A properly cared for car in a beautiful specification, the Cherry Pearl paint looks great with the magnolia/blue interior, which was retrimmed during the restoration process. MK3 headlight covers finish the appearance off nicely.

The car has been across to Europe several times and is a superb drive.
