Description
1972 MG BGT in Old English White.
Chrome Wire Wheels, Webasto roof, overdrive in 3rd and 4th gears, chrome knock-off centre lock wire wheels (including an unused spare wheel), oil cooler, servo brakes, gold seal engine, wooden steering wheel, bespoke stainless steel exhaust and manifold, new fuel tank fitted, 123-Ignition electronic distributor, air horns and a single 12v battery plus a period Motorola radio converted to an mp3 player.
Most receipts and invoices since 1996 available.
The car was restored/resprayed approximately 10,000 miles ago. The paintwork and chrome remains in very good condition although some interior trim would benefit from tidying-up if wished.
I have had the car on a rolling road, when it was fitted with a 123-Ignition electronic distributor for reliability, together with having the carburettors tuned and set up (report available). As a result, it drives great and has gained an extra 10% in power, bringing it to within 8bhp of its original factory sales spec - not bad for a 54 year-old car! It starts at the turn of the key from cold and pulls well in any gear.
Registered with the DVLA as a historic vehicle, it is therefore Tax and MOT exempt, although an MOT was performed in June 2025 which it passed with no advisories.
Service history and receipts going back to early 1990s available.
