1979 TRIUMPH DOLOMITE

We are really pleased to offer this rather lovely Dolomite Sprint finished its in factory colours of Russet Brown with Chestnut interior.

Despatched Nov 1979 to Bells Garage, Kidderminster and registered 1980 making this Sprint a very late desirable model which some refer to as the Series 4.

Lovely history file with numerous old MOTs, expenditure logs and services.

Subject to a significant restoration which finished around 2008 and is fully photographed in a 100+ photo restoration log. Clearly showing any corrosion cut out with new fabricated panels welded in place.

Full mechanical overhaul to include full engine rebuild 108,000 miles. Then a full glass out external respray.

A well known car and restorer within the Dolomite Sprint circles.

Previous owner of 14 years who purchased the car 3 years post restoration, in his ownership the car had a stainless steel exhaust, electronic ignition, high torque starter motor, K&N filters (not currently fitted), copper brake pipes and fuel lines and replacement Superflex bushes.

In 2020 it had a rear brake overhaul, replacement front offside brake caliper, new clutch, slave cylinder with connecting pipe/hoses plus two new tyres in 2023.

Most recent ownership 2025-2026 with x c2k spent to keep the car on the button, fully serviced, refreshed throttle linkages, replaced clutch master cylinder, new seal kit for brake master cylinder, replaced both steering knuckles, GAZ fully adjustable suspension system along with poly bushes where required.

This is a 100% Genuine and factory original Dolomite Sprint not a re-shell or Tarted up 1850hl.

Now some years have passed the Dolly has seen some use to include several long distance trips to Europe (France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands).

She is fast and goes through the gears perfectly with the overdrive works seamlessly.

She has mellowed rather nicely so do not expect a Concours 25k example for your 15k and she has only covered 20,000 miles the refreshed engine with a full and extensive service records since restoration.
