2003 VAUXHALL VX220

A well-sorted and enthusiast-owned VX220 fitted with a Courtney Sport Stage 2 supercharger conversion producing approximately 250hp and 230 lb-ft of torque. The Courtney supercharger setup transforms the car, giving it strong performance while retaining the lightweight, analogue driving experience the VX220 is known for.

The car has benefited from extensive mechanical work over recent years, including a full engine rebuild by Mark Gemmell at MG Autotec (2022), along with new GAZ monotube coilovers (2024) on all four corners, recent Winmax W5 brake pads (2024), and a range of other upgrades and preventative maintenance.

It has been dry stored in a garage, has covered very little mileage recently, and comes with extensive history including a vehicle history binder documenting the work carried out. Prospective buyers are very welcome to review this — see the last two photos in the advert showing the history file.

Engine & Mechanical:

The engine was fully rebuilt by MG Autotec (Mark Gemmell) in March 2022 at 70,940 miles.

Condition

The car presents well overall and has clearly been enthusiast maintained.

As expected with a 20-year-old lightweight composite sports car, there are some stone chips to the paintwork. There is also a small mark on the rear bumper above the number plate, which is visible in the photos.

The blue soft top is in excellent condition.

Included with the Car are two new headlight lenses if ever required.
