EXTERIOR

Audi have forged a unique reputation in creating performance estate variants and with the B7 they remain true to form with deep sills, wide arches and huge road presence. With only an isolated dusting of chips to front bumper and lights, general condition is very clean – pointing to careful use commensurate with sensible road mileage. With bold arches, much like the B5, there is scope for peppering but again there is nothing major to report.

Further enhancing its stealthy aesthetic, the matte black window surrounds and roof rails complement the overall dark colour scheme beautifully, all of which remain in excellent condition.

INTERIOR

Audi’s reputation for exceptional fit and finish is evident here, with a cabin that has worn remarkably well over time. The wingback Recaro seats immediately command attention upon entry, and as one of the first models to feature the Sportster CS design, they feel perfectly suited to this high-performance estate.

Paired with the flat-bottomed steering wheel and carbon-fibre dash inlays, the interior retains a modern, purposeful aesthetic – looking every bit as fresh and relevant as it did at launch. An updated head unit brings connectivity up to date while spec extends to sunroof, climate control and seat heating to ensure the car can be enjoyed all year round.

The carpets, gearbox tunnel and entry strips are pleasingly free of marks with switchgear in excellent condition and in fine operational order.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The high revving 4.2 V8 under the bonnet makes for an addictive soundtrack; on show and surrounded with RS4 logos and carbon trim rather than hidden under plastic covers. An exemplary service record has ensured this car has had everything it has needed and more from either the main dealer or esteemed specialists. Fresh from a major service with AMD Technik, the surrey specialist also attended to the intake manifold gasket, PCV system and de – coking of the inlet valves / seats.

The 6 speed Getrag manual gearbox is mated to Audis Torsen based quattro system providing superior grip in all weather conditions. Of particular interest the (often replaced / upgraded) suspension system remains standard with DRC operating as it should.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

The 18″ double spoke alloy wheels are in excellent condition shod in matching Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres.

Audi Brembo gloss black 8 pot brakes provide formidable stopping power.
