The paintwork retains a strong gloss with a consistent finish across all panels, with only a handful of minor age-related chips to report. The headlight lenses are nice and clear, as are the rear light clusters, with no cracks or moisture ingress. The 19-inch wheels have been refurbished with the correct diamond-cut finish and present beautifully, shod in a matching set of Khumo tyres.

INTERIOR

The interior of this M3 presents very well, trimmed in full Black Nappa leather throughout. The seats remain in particularly pleasing condition, with supple bolsters and only light, age-commensurate creasing. The sought-after manual gearbox provides a tactile and engaging driving experience, operating with a precise, smooth action. This car is also equipped with the desirable Harman Kardon sound system. Door cards, centre console, and trim elements all present in keeping with the rest of the cabin – clean, and well preserved.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

At the heart of the BMW E46 M3 lies the celebrated 3.2-litre S54 inline-six engine – an iconic powerplant widely regarded as one of BMW M’s finest. This particular example benefits from a comprehensive service history, with 11 stamps recorded in the service book. Most recently, the car has undergone a full Inspection II service carried out by respected BMW specialists, Barkers Motor Works. In addition to routine servicing, several other maintenance items have been addressed. These include the replacement of rear brake pipes, renewed exhaust brackets, new wiper blades, and a recent air conditioning re-gas.
