1972 LOTUS EUROPA

Oakmere are delighted to offer this superb 1972 Lotus Europa Twin-Cam for sale from our Northwich showroom.

Arguably the best example of the Europa currently on the market, this UK-supplied, matching numbers car has been the subject of a full nut and bolt restoration by a long serving Oakmere employee and Lotus expert.

Supplied new to a Mr J Hawthorn by Lotus main agent, Foley Park Motors of Kidderminster.

The Europa was used regularly until some time in 1980 when it was put into long term dry storage at 52000 miles.

The car remained in storage, partly stripped, until purchased by the restorer in 2021, at which point he embarked on the 12-month restoration.

The body shell was exceptional and required no fibreglass repairs prior to be repainted by the Oakmere body shop team.

In the meantime, the original super solid chassis was media blasted and powder-coated.

All suspension, brake and steering components were either reconditioned and refinished or replaced as necessary.

The car was actually very original and retains many of its original features that required no restoration.

It would be very difficult to find a Europa Twin-Cam as original and well restored as this car. Viewing is highly recommended!
