⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY
One of the best selling British pre-war classics at the time.
Introduced in 1935, the Morris 8 was built by Morris Motors with the ethos of being an affordable small family car designed to rival models like the Ford Model Y. It quickly became popular in Britain thanks to its simplicity, reliability and low running costs and quickly became one of Britain's best-selling pre-war cars.
Available in several body styles, from saloons, tourers and vans, the Morris 8 catered for all, and, fitted with a 918cc four-cylinder engine, it offered modest performance but dependable everyday usability. Early versions had basic features, with later updates improving the gearbox and brakes.
Production of the Morris 8 continued until 1948, when it was succeeded by the successful Morris Minor, a more modern design that reflected post-war advancements in automotive engineering.
Surviving examples of the Morris 8 are few and far between, which makes this restored example an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to enjoy a spot of pre-war British motoring.
