2004 Lotus Elise S2 111R Touring

1.8-litre Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine with VVTL-i, producing 189bhp (192 PS) and a 6-speed gearbox, offering 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.

Just two previous owners, a little over 31k miles and a comprehensive service history, in a stunning colour combination of Arctic Silver and Blue leather, Roof & Carpets.

Being the ‘Touring’ spec the following is also included over a standard spec car:

- Full Carpet Set

- Luggage Net

- Improved Sound Insulation

I deliberately wanted a Toyota engined car to avoid any unreliability issues of the Rover K series engine, but mainly so I could have a/c as it is purely a summer toy!

I purchased the car from Hendy Performance (when they were a Lotus dealer) and they have continued to service the car ever since; the last service being in April this year.

Before sale (at 28k miles) the dealer replaced all the suspension, brakes and hoses at a cost of £1,700 (The only advisory items on recent MOT’s). Combined with a full-service history you won’t have to worry about any unforeseen costs for some time, just drive her and have fun!

Before purchasing I also had the dealer replace the window seals, which doesn’t sound like much until you see how much these things cost; £630!! If you see an Elise with bumpy seals, it’s because the metal inside has started to rust; the only solution is to replace them.

I have also had the centre transmission tunnel, gear gaiter and sill guards wrapped in black leather with contrasting stitching to match the seats. All complete by renowned Lotus and Morgan trimmer Allon White.

Additional work in my ownership includes:

- 4x Lotus wheel centre caps

- Bluetooth Stereo (Original unit also included)

- Anodised Lotus branded carpet buttons

- Seat bases re-foamed

Also included in the sale are:

- Lotus Elise branded / tailored car cover. Not great condition, but it does the job.

- Soft top roof bag

- Trickle charger (batter is pre-wired for this)

- Comprehensive history file

Overall, this is a really lovely car (I am still torn on whether to sell her or not) and one I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with. Although, please remember this is a 22 year old car now, so there are a few (very minor) marks here and there but overall she is a great example of an excellent British sportscar.
