The optional PDLS Porsche Dynamic Cornering Bi-Xenon headlights offer exceptional brightness, even in challenging conditions. The light beam pattern actually adjusts from side to side depending on speed and steering wheel movement to light up round a corner increasing your line of sight at night.

Exterior

Our hand selected Boxster S Black Edition looks stunning in Gloss Black, a striking Porsche colour that is like a chrome mirror when clean. The Black Edition adds Black Tailpipes, Rear Badge, Side Air Vents and Black Edition logo embossed on both sides of the Black Fabric Hood. The Boxster has been machine polished & waxed by us, which will help protect the paintwork & repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front & rear LED lights. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine & boot struts also operate as they should. The Black fabric hood is in excellent condition and operates perfectly, we have cleaned & retreated the hood with the Autoglym Hood Cleaner & Protector Kit so it will remain in fantastic condition for the foreseeable future.

Interior

The Boxster S Black Edition comes with the optional 12-way Electric Leather Seats come with Lumbar Support System, so you can adjust the seat exactly to your preferences including the curvature of your spine, making these incredibly comfortable seats on short or extended journeys. They are combined with the optional seat memory function which supports both exterior mirrors and all seat positions on the driver’s side, stored on the individual keys & memory panel on the drivers door. The seats also have the optional 2-stage heating system & heated steering wheel, both perfect for keeping you warm in the winter months. The Extended Black Leather with Contrast Silver Stitching interior is a perfect pairing to the Black bodywork, it includes Leather on the Dashboard & Doors, as well as additionally on the steering column as a separate factory option. The Black Edition adds Black Trim on the dashboard and gear selector surround, a numbered plaque, in this case 187 of 987 produced Worldwide, Black Edition inscribed Door Entry Guards in Stainless Steel, Black Dials & Black Rollover Hoops. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim parts, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission

Our Boxster S Black Edition is equipped with the 3.4 litre DFI flat six engine, with the addition of the very potent Power Kit, which adds around 10bhp to the peak power. The Black Edition Powerkit engine produces 320bhp and 273ft-lb of torque, just like the Boxster Spyder. The axle load distribution of approximately 45:55 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

A fantastic option on this Porsche is the exceptional Switchable Sports Exhaust PSE which significantly improves the sound of the Boxster S Black Edition on any journey, without being too loud or intrusive.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes

Our Boxster S Black Edition comes fitted with the very desirable and valuable 19-inch Boxster Spyder R BBS ultra-lightweight alloy wheels finished in Gloss Black with a diamond cut edge. They are 0.5 inches wider each, with a different offset so they sit perfectly in the wheel arches without the need of wheel spacers. They are forged aluminium & are 5kg lighter across all four wheels, which markedly improves the handling characteristics due to this being saved on the unsprung weight. The wheels are unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion, having just been fully refinished by us. The brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The callipers are painted Guards Red from the factory with PORSCHE lettering. The tyres are matching Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Porsche N2, they have all been replaced by us while the wheels were being fully refurbished & rebalanced.
