This is a BBR turbo conversion based on the top of the line 2.0 Sport Venture model.

Deep Crystal Blue Mica, with 17” Bright finish alloy wheels, Bright silver door mirrors, Stone leather sports seats with 5 stage seat heaters, Alpine navigation system (Original Equipment), Power retractable hard top (12 seconds to convert), Automatic climate control air-conditioning, Limited Slip Differential (LSD), Strut brace, Alloy pedal set, Leather steering wheel, Steering wheel mounted audio controls, Single CD player with 6 speakers and auxiliary jack, 6.1” Alpine satellite navigation, Integrated Bluetooth, Cruise control, Auto-dimming rear view mirror, Dual front and side airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS), Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser.

BBR Turbo Conversion

The conversion itself consists of a bespoke Garrett GT25 ball bearing turbo, a bespoke BBR cast iron exhaust manifold, a new stainless steel downpipe, a front-mounted aluminium intercooler, and an upgraded intake. This is all controlled with an EcuTek ECU featuring four maps to account for different fuel specs, a variable-rev launch control function, and even downshift blips for the manual ‘box.

Suspension wise, the car is sitting on BBR custom variable rate springs with Koni adjustable dampers. The ride is excellently judged and not at all harsh. It also provides the perfect stance for an NC.

The work was carried out by BBR in November 2015 by the original owner, when the car had 6111 miles on the clock. The total cost of the Turbo conversion and the suspension was £7188 and the receipts with the car documents.

A truly exceptional, cherished example which is in beautiful condition throughout and drives superbly. Exceptionally rare in this condition. This car has been maintained regardless of cost from new. With just 31k miles in its 12 years it has lived a pampered life.

Massive history file. Owned for 5 years. 3 previous owners. Full service history. No accidents. No finance owing. V5 in my name. Comes with the original sales invoice. Just serviced, including gearbox and diff oil replacement. Many other new parts fitted recently, including discs, tyres, catalytic converter, and turbo blanket. MOT until April 2027.

New turbo at 28k miles, with a chunky receipt from BBR. No rust, excellent condition underneath. There are a couple of small scuffs on the rear bumper (off side), please see photos.

This is a fantastic driver’s car that combines the creature comforts of the Sport Venture model with the immense BBR 270 package to make a car that is as comfortable on a B road blast as it is crossing Europe or enjoying a summer's day with the roof down. An exceptional MX5.
