1986 LOTUS ESPRIT

Giugiaro - Lotus Esprit S3 Turbo HC - Oct 1986 build. One of 135 UK cars made, one of 5 Silver Frost cars made, and the only one with a red leather interior.

Owned by the last owner since 1997. He was an engineer and loved this car like a baby. There are FOUR ring binders of history with the car. Photos and a line-by-line history of everything it has ever had done. 81,000 miles, but it really doesn’t mean that much when you see the work and maintenance carried out, including an engine and gearbox rebuild. The car will be going to Lotus specialist SJ for a checkover, before making its way to Leicestershire, where the usual detailed photos and video will be taken, and I’ll attempt to get the history into some sort of summary.

It hits ‘Historic’ status this November.
