Overview
The Land Rover Defender has come a long way since becoming its own entity back in 1990. Having evolved into a handsome and luxurious aspirational vehicle the current L663 incarnation is a completely re-designed and updated version of the iconic 4X4. That's not to say it hasn't lost any of its off-road capabilities though, far from it. With permanent all-wheel drive, centre and rear locking differentials and a two-speed transfer case it can still tackle the rough stuff with the best of them.
Introduced in 2020 the L663 features an aluminium monocoque body – a departure from the body-on-frame setup of previous Defenders – and is available with a choice of engines, from two-litre turbo four-pots to six cylinder lumps and V8s, as well as various different trim levels so there's plenty of choice when it comes to speccing up your Defender. Offered in the usual 90, 110 and 130 wheelbases with either coil sprung or air suspension the latest Defender was well received and continues to be a popular choice for many.
This particular early Land Rover Defender 110 is fitted with the aforementioned 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine producing 296bhp that's mated to the standard eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Being the SE trim model it comes complete with a whole host of additional features, including 20” five-spoke wheels, a 400W Meridian sound system, memory front seats and premium LED headlights among other enhancements and it presents in excellent condition throughout.
Coming to market with low miles, service history and an advisory-free MOT the car has clearly been looked after and is reportedly driving superbly. Looking particularly rugged and utilitarian in its grey over black colour scheme this Land Rover Defender 110 is every bit the modern luxury off-roader.
