2023 TOYOTA GR86 D-4S

For anyone who values a naturally aspirated engine, a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, the GR86 is one of the most rewarding cars of its era. This one-owner, dry-stored example has covered just 13,178 miles and comes with a full Toyota main dealer service history.

Developed alongside Subaru as the successor to the GT86, the GR86 has a larger 2.4-litre flat-four producing 234PS at 7,000rpm and 250Nm at 3,700rpm. That extra torque answered the one real criticism of the earlier car. The light, playful and communicative character remains, supported by a Torsen limited-slip differential and double-wishbone rear suspension. Toyota quotes 0–62mph in 6.3 seconds and 140mph flat out for the manual.

Toyota only planned a two-year European production run, because the car would not meet incoming safety rules. The first UK allocation sold out in around 90 minutes. Examples with this provenance and mileage are now genuinely scarce.

This car has had one owner and has been dry stored. The full front end and front section of the roof are protected with Xpel PPF R Ceramic film, and it presents in outstanding condition. Listers Toyota (Bristol North) has serviced it every year: on 5 February 2024 at 8,165 miles, on 3 February 2025 at 10,013 miles, and on 28 January 2026 at 12,913 miles. The February 2025 visit was a Toyota “B” service (Service Plus) with brake fluid (DOT 5.1) and gear oil (75W85) changes. The MOT is valid until 12 January 2027.
