Debuting in August 1969, the Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet remains every bit as significant today as it was more than half a century ago.

This 1971 example represents one of the final cars produced at the legendary Sindelfingen works, adding further appeal to an already highly desirable model.

In 2010, this exceptional 280SE was acquired by a prominent UK collector from its previous owner in Miami Beach, where it had resided on exclusive Chase Avenue. Its American custodian had treasured the car for more than twenty years, having purchased it in 1992.

Benefiting from a recent £38,000 restoration, documented in detail across four pages, the car presents in superb order throughout.
