The McLaren Senna is a limited-production mid-engined supercar and the third addition to the McLaren Ultimate Series, joining the F1 and the P1. Limited to 500 hand-built units, the Senna was unveiled online on 10 December 2017, with the official reveal taking place at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.Named after the Brazilian Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna, the car pays tribute to his three Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles and thirty-five Formula One Grand Prix race wins. McLaren also won four consecutive Formula One World Constructors Championship titles with Senna as part of their driver line-up. The Senna is largely based on the McLaren 720S, using a modified version of its carbon fibre monocoque chassis, named MonoCage III. It is powered by an uprated version of the McLaren 720S' 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, codenamed the M840TR, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers 789 hp and 590 lb ft of torque to the rear wheels. The result is a 0-62mph sprint time of just 2.8 seconds, and a blistering top speed of 208mph.
