A beautiful SL500 in rare Aegean/Topaz Blue metallic with an Alpaca grey leather interior with burr walnut wood inlays.

This is the facelift of the R230 with the 5.5 litre V8 (previously 5.0) and the 7-speed 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox. The engine is a useful upgrade as the pre facelift car had 302 BHP whereas this facelift car has 383 BHP and a useful increase in torque.

The facelift also included softer, higher quality leather to the interior as well as other worth while upgrades.

This car is in beautiful condition, I am selling this car for my friend whose husband recently passed away. He was ex-motorsport and used to restore E Types etc.,.. and this was his pride and joy in retirement and was kept fastidiously.

It has 12 months MOT with no advisories and has only done 59687 from new.

It has a good specification to include, climate control, heated and electrically adjustable seats with memory, bi xenon headlights with cornering illumination, automatic dimming to both interior and exterior mirrors, Command with navigation, AMG 19" 5 spoke wheels, heated screen wash, adaptive brake lights and DVD player.

The car will be viewed at the address at which it is registered which is about 5 miles from my location.

The car recently had a full service and at that time everything that needed renewing was renewed to ensure the car passed the MOT with no faults.

My friend purchased the car on 21/03/2022, he looked at a lot of SL500's to find a car that met his high standards (I know I went with him to view most of them!). It was by far the nicest we looked at and has had a number of detail improvements and fettling in his ownership.

Being ex motorsport and a car restorer he serviced the car himself every year using genuine Mercedes parts.

The most recent service carried out in November 2025 included all filters and ball joints to fix the advisory in the previous MOT.

When he bought the car he had any existing body imperfections sorted and the car polished by Richards Body Shop in Kerry, Powys. Very highly rated bodyshop who do work for Owens Developments for example. It has also had a new fusebox and a new OEM steering wheel (original with the car).
