It is believed to have spent much of its life in Brussels in its original road specification. The car was bought by the current owner back in 2011 where over the course of the next two years the owner (an ex Renault engineer) completed an extensive and fully documented body off restoration. For the last 15 years, the car has been used sparingly covering just under 2000km, with the odometer now displaying 90,222km. The car has been fitted with Group 4 specification bodywork and finished in its original factory 'Bleu Alpine Metallise' which presents in fantastic condition throughout. The rebuild was completed to the highest of standards with careful attention to originality, while also incorporating a number of sympathetic upgrades with fast road / competition specification in mind. Power comes from a rebuilt 1397cc in-line engine running twin 40 Webers, paired with a performance branch manifold. Braking performance has been significantly improved with a front big brake conversion using Renault Clio components, along with larger rear calipers supplied by renowned Alpine-Renault specialists, Mecaparts. This is complemented by new brake pipes, braided hoses, an upgraded master cylinder. The car has been fitted with fully adjustable suspension, giving excellent handling and adjustability. Inside, the car benefits from original working instruments, a heated front windscreen, and near perfect fitted carpets and trims. The driver's position is equipped with a Tillett seat and 6-point harness, while the passenger has a Corbeau Alpine seat with a 4-point harness. An additional Corbeau driver's seat is also included. The car comes with a substantial history file and photo album, documenting its restoration journey. Presenting beautifully and performing as it should, this is a truly stunning example of the Alpine A110.
