Lovely 1998 Jaguar XJ8 Automatic finished in beautiful Metallic Mistral Blue Coachwork and powered by a 3.2L V8 engine. This wonderful example has contrasting Oatmeal Beige Leather Upholstery and rich polished Walnut Veneers. Firstly its important to state that this XJ8 has been in its current ownership for over 16 years and was put in to storage in 2022, where it received a decent mechanical and structural overhaul. Most noticeably is the work to the underside of the vehicle including some.very competent & professional welding to the key XJ weak points such as the ends of the sills and floor pans. It also appears a number of bushes have been replaced along with an underseal treatment. We are big fans of this generation of XJ and have sold many over the years, the vast majority will have had structural works of this nature and its great to buy one that has already had the expense and time spent on it, than buy an example hanging on and in need of this work in the future! The car has a fully stamped service book at 7K, 11.7K, 16.2K, 22K, 27.9K, 32K, 43.5K, 48.5K, 52.1K, 59.9K, 62.2K, 63.5K, 65.5K, 66.1K, 66.3K, 67.6K, 67.7K and our service to add at 73.7K. Seven of the eighteen services have been carried out by main dealers and lots of continuity with the many services carried out by the same Independent Specialist Garages. We have driven many of these charming Jaguars and can only report good things from this example. The engine is smooth, powerful and smoke free. The gearbox is silky smooth up and down the box with fully working kickdown. The rear differential is lovely and quiet, s is the drive train. The steering, suspension and brakes are positive, responsive and free from any unwanted knocks or noises. No dashboard warning lights and everything works as it should. For additional peace of mind, all our vehicles are supplied subject to a stringent RAC Pre Delivery Inspection, 6 months mechanical & electrical, engine size specific warranty (extendable up to 3 years) and 12 months RAC breakdown cover.
