1997 Porsche

This special example of the 1997 Porsche 911 (993) Targa was ordered through Edinburgh’s Porsche Dealer, Glenvarigill. The car was supplied in the exquisite shade of Libelltürkis Metallic (Dragonfly Turquoise Metallic/ Ocean Jade), a special order colour, along with some other great factory options. Most importantly in today’s market, the car was fitted with the 6-speed manual gearbox as well as the M033 Sports Suspension, AC, Porsche CD player, 17” split-rim alloy wheels, 4-way electric seats and the soft ruffled leather in black.

As with all cars of this time but with 993s especially, the service history is critical in distinguishing the car from a good example to a great one. Thankfully, this car has had regular servicing throughout its life, with the supplying main dealer servicing the car from 1999 through till 2017 a total of 11 times. The car has since been serviced by main dealers and specialists with the last service being completed in May 2025 by renowned Porsche specialists, Export 56. This was a major service which included changing the spark plugs as well as other items that needed addressing, with the total coming to over £4, 400.

This beautifully preserved example has had just six previous owners and is accompanied by a comprehensive history file. The original service book contains no fewer than 14 Porsche service stamps, its original tool roll, jack, air compressor, spare key, and Lackstift paint set, along with a full archive of invoices and MOT certificates dating back to May 2000. This Porsche 993 is a real gem and is ready to be enjoyed this summer.
