2009 PORSCHE CAYMAN

Overview

This is a 987 Porsche Cayman S (Gen 2) with a 3.4 litre straight 6 engine, and a manual 6-speed gearbox.

I’m its second owner having purchased it from Porsche Hatfield as a Porsche Approved Used car in 2012 and it has been driven and enjoyed regularly throughout its life. It is in excellent condition having had PaintShield XPEL Ultimate self-healing paint protection film fitted since 2012 on the front of the car - from the windscreen forwards, including wing mirrors. Its ‘Meteor Grey’ metallic paint has very few stone chips and is generally very clean as a result. The car has not been in any accidents.

The interior is black with comfortable, leather sports seats. Note that the driver's seat does have some light wear present from years of use. The rear & front boot areas are very clean and tidy.

It was first registered in Apr 2009, its V5 is available and the car comes with two remote fob keys. A full service history is available having been regularly serviced throughout its life following Porsche service interval recommendations. All the brake discs and pads were fully replaced in 2025. The MoT is valid until October 2026.

The car has a great spec that has been further enhanced with a fully integrated and fully functioning aftermarket Apple CarPlay installation.

Finally, the driving experience and grip/handling of this mid-engined car is superb, which explains my long ownership. The 987 Gen 2 version Cayman S with a manual gearbox is one of the sweetest and most reliable Cayman variants made. I can’t recommend it highly enough as a true drivers’ car, whilst also being a very practical car, day to day.
